Application Tuition & Fees
The PDF file found on this page outlines current fees associated with your studies at the Seminary. The fee schedule is updated & set in June/July of each year. All prices are noted in Canadian dollars.
   

 

Heritage Scholarships & Bursaries

The following Heritage Seminary scholarships are awarded each year. The monetary amounts listed are the expected scholarship values for the upcoming school year. However, Heritage reserves the right to adjust these amounts as necessary.

Scholarship application forms are provided to all applicants upon the completion of their application to Heritage. Please note that an application deadline of May 31st applies to many scholarships. Application forms are available on this page under forms. Details are also available through the Registrar's Office.

Heritage Seminary Scholarships

Robert Holmes Pastoral Leadership Scholarship
($750.00) – Awarded to an entering, full-time, male Master of Divinity student from a Fellowship Baptist Church who is recommended by his home church as showing leadership/pastoral ministry potential.

William Marshall Seminary Leadership Entrance Scholarship
(Up to $1000) – Awarded to a full-time student entering a degree program who demonstrates leadership experience and potential as recommended by his/her references.

Heritage Seminary Entrance Scholarship
Students enrolled in the Master of Divinity program (who qualify) will receive $1200 for their first year of studies, $1600 for their second year of studies and $2000 for their third year of studies. Students must enter with and maintain a 3.5 GPA.

Students enrolled in the Master of Theological Studies program (who qualify) will receive $1600 for their first year of studies and $2000 for their second year of studies.

Please note: This scholarship is automatically awarded. This scholarship does not apply to the Graduate Certificate of Biblical Preaching, Graduate Certificate of Women in Ministry or the Graduate Certificate for Church Health and Evangelism.

Matching Entrance Scholarship
(Up to $1400) – For Bible College or University graduates entering a degree program full-time, who are recommended by their home church. The home church sponsors the student for an amount up to $500.00 (non-partner church) or $700.00 (partner church) and then Heritage matches the amount. Applicants must have a minimum Bachelor’s graduation AGPA of 3.00 or equivalent.

Seminary Returning Student Award
Students who did not qualify for the Academic Entrance scholarship, but increase their GPA during their first year of studies at Heritage, can qualify for the Returning Academic Scholarship. Students who qualify and maintain a 3.5 GPA will receive $800 for their second semester of studies, $1600 for their second year of studies and $2000 for their third year of studies.

Please note: This scholarship is automatically awarded. This scholarship does not apply to the Graduate Certificate of Biblical Preaching, Graduate Certificate of Women in Ministry or the Graduate Certificate for Church Health and Evangelism.

Heritage Partner Church Staff Bursary
Heritage Seminary is pleased to offer a one-year Heritage Partner Church Staff Bursary to all Heritage Partner churches. Paid ministry staff from these churches are entitled to a 25% tuition bursary for studies at Heritage Seminary. Students are required to reapply for the bursary each year.

Bursaries

Heritage awards bursaries as funds are donated for student assistance. Applications are available at the Registrar’s Office. Bursaries are normally awarded in the second year of a degree program.

Mahood Returning Student Bursary
($1000) – Awarded to one qualified Seminary student who has completed one year of his/her Master of Divinity studies. This scholarship is intended to ensure the legacy of Christian leadership desired by Rev. Kitchener Mahood.

Seniors Bursary
Seniors are eligible for a 33% discount on the comprehensive fee. “Senior” is defined as age 55 or over. This applies only to courses taken for credit, and does not apply to distance learning courses. Other associated fees are as stated in the fee schedule. This is only applicable to courses taken in Cambridge.

Married Student Bursary
The spouse of a full-time student will receive a 50% discount on the comprehensive fee. “Full-time” refers to a student taking at least 3 courses (minimum 9 credit hours). The spouse eligible for the discount is considered to be the one taking the fewer credit hours. The course(s) must be taken for credit. This is offered when both spouses are registered in the same semester or session.

Student Relocation Bursary
Bursary offered to new students from a distance to facilitate full-time attendance at Heritage Theological Seminary. Please review the application form for eligibility requirements. Students qualifying may receive the following:

Round trip travel fare (up to $500)
Tuition bursary (up to $500)
Residence bursary ($500)

Heritage Bursary

Bursaries may be available as funds are donated for general student assistance. In an attempt to be responsible in the distribution of these funds, all applicants are required to complete this application.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Full Time students at Heritage College as of January 1, 2014 can now be considered for the 30% off Ontario Tuition Grant. For more information visit https://osap.gov.on.ca/OSAPPortal/en/A-ZListofAid/PRDR015078.html 

Students enrolled in Full Time studies, in specific programs at Heritage may be eligible, if qualified, for assistance under one or more of the following components of the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP): the Canada Student Loans Program (CSL); the Ontario Student Loans Program (OSL).

For Ontario residents, online-application and application forms for OSAP may be obtained on the internet using http://osap.gov.on.ca.

Veteran’s Assistance

Heritage students have been approved by the U.S. Veteran’s Assistance for the payment of benefits. Students should apply early as the student’s program must be evaluated by the Veteran’s Administration.

Workplace Safety & Insurance Board

Heritage has qualified in certain cases as a retraining program under WSIB. An individual considering obtaining funding assistance through WSIB should speak with his or her WSIB Counsellor.

First Nations

Heritage, being a degree-granting institution, is recognized by the First Nations as an institution of post-secondary education. Qualifying students may be eligible for funding assistance from their band council.
