College / Residence
What is Residence life like?
We have created a community where holistic learning can occur and students can be nurtured and developed through faith, living and learning. We do this by having residences that are safe, biblically based, supportive and where mutual accountability is practiced.
We join together as a community in having a relationally structured ministry where everyone (staff & students) can model and integrate God’s Word as taught in the classroom; where appropriate boundaries are learned and practiced. Residence is also to be a place where personal devotions and prayer are encouraged and exemplified, and everyone learns to relate within our God given roles and responsibilities.
The Residence Directors are a married couple that live on-campus and oversee Residence Life. Student leaders known as R.A.’s (Residence Assistants) work with the Residence Directors.
The cafeteria provides a variety of meal, snack, and beverage options for students and visitors. The cafeteria operates weekdays for breakfast (7:30–9:30am), lunch (12:00-1:30pm) and over the dinner hour (4:30-6:30pm) Monday-Thursday. Friday the cafeteria is open from 7:30-9:30am and 12:00pm-1:30pm. The cafeteria is open all day for working, sitting and light refreshments (coffee, tea, snacks). The listed times above are for hot meals & food service. Specific hours will be posted each semester and are subject to change for special events that affect the majority of students. The Cafeteria is closed for Chapels on Tuesday & Thursday from 11:00am-12:00pm.
All residence students are required to participate in a meal plan each semester. This meal plan operates on a declining balance account for each student that is used up based on the meal choices of each individual student. Additional meal plan contributions beyond the mandatory plan can be purchased through the cafeteria or the business office. Please note that outstanding meal plan balances will not be refunded at the end of the school year.
The cafeteria is open to individuals who purchase meals from the cafeteria as well as those who bring their own food. A microwave is available in the cafeteria for general use.
